Tony Close is Director of Content Regulation (Global) at Meta. He leads the Global Content Regulation team which is responsible for advancing the company’s policies and vision for content regulation. Tony has 20 years’ experience in content regulation and developing regulatory policy across the media.
Prior to joining Facebook he was Director of Content Standards at Ofcom, the UK communications regulator. Tony was responsible for setting and enforcing content standards for television, radio and on demand services in the UK. Tony lives in Kent, England with his wife Emma and two daughters Isabel and Iris.
