Description
Organised by: Business and Human Rights Resource Centre (BHRRC), Natural Resources Governance Institute (NRGI), and Rights and Accountability in Development (RAID - UK)
Transition minerals are necessary for renewable energy technologies, but for the energy transition to be fast it must also be fair. This session will look at the salient human rights risks within the transition mineral sector broadly, particularly examining the specific corruption risks all stakeholders need to be aware of, and will highlight case studies from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
