Biographie
Dr. Barbara Kolm (*1964 in Innsbruck) is Director of the Austrian Economics Center, President of the F.A. v. Hayek Institute and Professor of Austrian Economics at the University of Donja Gorica in Montenegro. Until her election as MP to the National Council in October 2024, she was a member of several supervisory boards, e.g. Vienna Insurance Group, Supervisory Board of Wiener Städtische Wechselseitige Versicherungsverein - Vermögensverwaltung, Vice President of the Austrian Central Bank. In 2008 she founded the now internationally largest libertarian conference series "Free Market Road Show", which annually visits about 40 countries (with 500+ individual events to date) to discuss current economic issues. Kolm is a frequent speaker on geopolitical issues, particularly on location topics, monetary and economic policy, deregulation and competition, and the future of Europe.
