Michael McNamara is an Irish independent politician who has been a Member of the European Parliament from Ireland since July 2024.
He is Vice-Chair of the Delegation for relations with the countries of South Asia, and Member of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs, and of the Delegation for relations with the countries of South Asia.
Mr. McNamara is Co-Chair of the Joint IMCO-LIBE Working Group on the implementation and enforcement of the Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act).
