Biographie
She is an Ophthalmologist and Physiologist. She graduated from the Department of Ophthalmology at Trakya University and subsequently completed her studies in the Department of Physiology at the same university’s Institute of Health Sciences. She conducted clinical studies on glaucoma at Baylor University (Methodist) in the USA and on cataract surgery at the Agarwal Eye Hospital in Chennai, India. She served as an phthalmologist at Istanbul Hospital and as the Chief Physician at the Şişli Eye Care Foundation (Göz Nurunu Koruma Vakfı). Since 2007, she has been practicing in her own private clinic. She was elected as a Member of Parliament for Antalya in the 27th and 28th Legislative Term. She currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the Committee on Equality of Opportunity for Women and Men, a member of the Committee on Health, Family, Labor and Social Affairs, and the President of the Turkish Group to the Andean Parliament. Fluent in English and with intermediate proficiency in German.
