Biographie
Chair of the Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation
Syahrul Aidi Maazat earned his bachelor’s degree from Al Azhar University, Egypt, his master’s degree from Al Bayt University, Jordan, and his doctoral degree from the State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim, Riau, Indonesia. He is a Member of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, representing the Region II of Riau Province Electoral District. The 2024-2029 period is his second consecutive term as a Member of the Indonesian House following the conclusion of his five-year tenure in 2024.
Prior to becoming a Member of the Indonesian House, he was a Vice Speaker of the Regional Legislative Council of Kampar Regency for the 2009-2014 period and a Member of the legislative institution for the 2014-2019 period. Currently he is the Chair of the Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation and member of Commission V of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia.
