Description
Charles Tellier joined Ambassador Poivre d’Arvor’s team in February 2025 to steer the final preparations for the Nice UN Ocean Conference (9-15 June 2025), and mobilise UN Member States at the highest level.
Charles has over 24 years of experience in multilateral affairs, development policy and global governance.
Before taking this role, Charles was Chief of Staff to the President of the UN’s International Fund for Agricultural Development, based in Rome for over 4 years. Before IFAD, Charles was based in Paris, as the director of the Fragility, Crisis, and Conflict division at the Agence Française de Développement. He worked extensively on multilateral development issues at the French MFA, both at HQ and in South Africa, as well as at the World Bank and in the UK’s DFID.
