Laura Fortes is Associate Director, Access to Finance at GOGLA, the global association for the off-grid solar energy industry, where she leads efforts to mobilize and channel finance toward companies expanding access to clean, affordable energy in emerging markets. Her work centers on blended finance, impact investing, and innovative funding models that support the growth of the off-grid solar sector and advance universal energy access.
Before joining GOGLA, Laura managed international investment attraction campaigns in emerging markets including Nigeria, the Philippines, Panama, and Mexico, and worked with Solarplaza, where she first became engaged with the off-grid solar sector. She holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a Master's degree in Public Administration.
