Description

Transition finance is attracting growing attention, but scaling it will require companies and financial institutions to identify credible and investable transition opportunities in practice. Building on new OECD analysis on enabling policies for transition finance, this session will examine the policy and market conditions that can help move from high-level transition commitments to bankable projects, including sectoral pathways, transition planning, public support mechanisms, revenue visibility, risk-sharing approaches and the role of policy certainty in supporting investment decisions. Panellists will discuss how corporates and financial institutions assess investment conditions, transition risks and implementation challenges in practice and which policy levers may be most effective in making transition opportunities more investable and bankable across jurisdictions and markets.
