Description
The Mitigation Action Facility is a multi-donor climate finance programme dedicated to supporting ambitious climate change mitigation in emerging markets and developing economies. Backed by EUR 835 million in donor commitments, the Mitigation Action Facility provides technical assistance and grant funding for innovative projects that deliver substantial greenhouse gas emissions reductions. Through a competitive selection process, the Facility has built a strong pipeline of high-quality, country-led projects across sectors such as energy, transport, and industry. It fosters policy reform, public and private finance mobilisation, private sector engagement, and knowledge sharing to maximise impact and scalability. By generating evidence and promoting learning, the Mitigation Action Facility helps accelerate inclusive, transformative climate action worldwide.
