Description

Beatriz Marques is a Competition Expert at the OECD Competition Division, admitted to the New York State Bar, and a former Assistant Attorney General at the Office of the New York State Attorney General’s Antitrust Bureau from 2018 to 2024. Throughout this role, she led and participated in investigations and litigations concerning activities that appear to violate the antitrust laws in a variety of different markets, including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, food services, tourism, energy, and digital platforms. While at the New York State Attorney General’s Office, she also served the National Association of Attorneys General Antitrust Taskforce as Chair of the International Committee and Chair of the Tech Industry Working Group. Beatriz’s previous work experiences include Kreab, a European Public Affairs firm, UNESCO, the United Nations, the Central American Court of Justice, and a law firm in Central America, Consortium Legal. She received her LL.B in Law from the University of Bristol in the UK and her LL.M in European Law from Université Panthéon Assas (Paris II) in France, and she holds a Certificate of Advanced Studies in International Competition Law and Compliance at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland.
