Description
Oskari Vaaranmaa joined the European Commission in March 2021 and serves as a Policy Officer in the Directorate-General for Trade and Economic Security, working in the Services and Investment Unit. His responsibilities include the negotiation and implementation of the EU’s Sustainable Investment Facilitation Agreements, and he represents the EU in the OECD Investment Committee.
He has previously worked in the Commission on regional development and passenger rights policy. He holds a Master’s degree in Public International Law from the University of Groningen and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from King’s College London.
