Description
Lise Johnson represents governments in investment treaty arbitration and public international law matters, including disputes under bilateral investment treaties, and the Energy Charter Treaty. Before joining Curtis, Ms. Johnson led the work on investment law and policy at the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment (CCSI), where she remains a Senior Fellow, and previously served as an advisor at the International Institute for Sustainable Development. She has participated as a delegate in UNCITRAL’s ongoing ISDS reform process, and in its development of the UNCITRAL Rules on Transparency. She has written extensively on international investment and sustainable development, and frequently designs and delivers training programs on those issues for government officials and other stakeholders.
