Biography
Kévin Magron is Deputy Director of the Directorate for Science, Technology and Innovation. Prior to this, he served as Chief of Staff of the OECD Secretary-General.
Kévin is an experienced diplomat and public official with 20 years of service in the French government. He has served as French Climate Ambassador and as Special Advisor on climate action at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
From October 2022 to November 2023 Kévin was the Deputy Permanent Representative of France to the OECD. Throughout his career, he has held various roles with an international focus, including Diplomatic Counsellor to the Minister of Ecological Transition (2020-2022) and Head of the G7 Presidency Task Force at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (2017-2020), covering International Financial Institutions and the OECD, including during the French chairing of the OECD Ministerial Council Meeting in 2018. He also served as Deputy Diplomatic Counsellor in the Prime Minister’s Cabinet (2016-2017) and in Iran (2012-2016) during the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action negotiations and in Ukraine (2004-2009).
A French national, Kévin holds a Master’s degree in public affairs from Maastricht University/EIPA and a Bachelor’s degree in political science from Cardiff University (University of Wales Institute, Cardiff - UWIC).
