Description
Tim is a value added tax advisor in the OECD’s VAT Unit. He provides VAT policy, legislative and administrative advice to countries under the OECD’s Technical Assistance programme. Additionally, he is the OECD Secretariat’s lead on enhancing administrative co-operation among tax administrations to improve VAT compliance in international digital trade. Prior to joining the OECD, Tim was the Australian Taxation Office’s Director of International VAT Risk and Strategy. In this role he was responsible for the design and administration of Australia’s system imposing VAT obligations on non-resident businesses engaged in digital trade, with a particular focus on developing and implementing effective compliance strategies. Tim has more than 25 years’ experience in VAT policy and law development, and administration.
