Description
Thomas Ecker is Head of the International Indirect Taxes Unit at the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance. He represents Austria in VAT and other indirect tax matters in the Council and numerous other working groups at the European Union and OECD-level. Besides, he lectures at universities and is editor and author of tax literature. Thomas is currently the Leader of Subgroup 2 of the OECD Focus Group on VAT Enforcement, which is the subgroup that looks at “follow-the-money strategies”.
