Petero Maivucevuce, a Fijian national, is a seasoned tax administration professional currently serving as the Head of Secretariat for the Pacific Islands Tax Administrators Association (PITAA). With a background in public service, Petero’s career began at the Fiji Revenue & Customs Service, where he held various roles namely Human Resources, Research, Planning, Policy Development, Corporate Reforms, and International Relations. His expertise was instrumental in the permanent establishment of the PITAA Secretariat in Suva, Fiji in 2017. Prior to his current leadership role at PITAA, he excelled as the Training Coordinator and Office Administrator for nine years, overseeing training initiatives and human resources within the Secretariat. Petero’s dedication to fostering collaboration among Pacific Island nations reflects his commitment to enhancing tax administration in the region.
