Description
After having graduated at the Portuguese Military Academy on 2013 (Master on Security Sciences), I managed and coordinated tax, economic and financial crime specialized units, as Captain at the Portuguese Republican National Guard. In 2018, I concluded my PhD on Law and Security, at Lisbon Law School NOVA, under the subject “the tax, economic and financial investigation of transnational organized crime at EU”. Since January 2021, I have initiated my journey at the EPPO, as Senior Financial Investigator, and became Coordinator of the EPPO VAT Fraud Team in 2023. From there, I have been responsible to coordinate a group of investigators and analysts in charge of supporting all revenue-related investigations, as led by EPPO’s European Delegated Prosecutors.
