Description
As Director of Indirect Tax at Booking Holdings, Elze Terra oversees the global indirect tax function across its primary online travel and consumer-facing brands, including Booking.com, KAYAK, Priceline, Agoda, Rentalcars.com, and OpenTable. With business spanning more than 220 countries and territories, she steers the development and alignment of the global indirect tax strategy, in close coordination with the brands, across a growing array of VAT/GST, digital platform, and tourist tax regimes.
Since joining Booking.com in 2018, Elze has been actively engaged in global tax policy discussions and provides a business perspective to the OECD Working Party No. 9. Prior to Booking, she spent nine years in the indirect tax advisory practice of EY Netherlands, combining advisory work in digital commerce with academic and research activities in international indirect tax.
