Description
Erich has led Airbnb’s Global Indirect Tax team for almost 8 years and was a tax consultant to Airbnb for several years prior to this. Erich leads Airbnb’s indirect tax efforts in 200+ countries, including tourist taxes, VAT/GST, user data reporting, DST, tax controversy, and tax engineering.
Erich is heavily involved with global tax policy efforts, including a business perspective to OECD Working Parties 9 and 10, and regularly meets with government bodies relating to tax policy issues and the digital economy. He is also
Prior to joining Airbnb, Erich was a Tax Director at PwC Miami, and a Senior Manager at EY New York, where he provided direct and indirect services relating to VAT, tourist/platform taxes, US State and Local taxes and M&A. Erich is a licensed attorney in New York and California and resides in Miami, Florida.
