Description
Valerie Ledure is Head of Unit for VAT Administrative Cooperation and Legal Issues at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Taxation and Customs Union, where she leads EU action against VAT fraud and oversees cooperation between Member States. She has held senior roles across the Directorate-General for Taxation and Customs Union and the Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union, notably shaping EU customs enforcement policy, corporate financial and sustainability reporting, and post-crisis financial markets regulation (MiFID). Prior to joining the Commission, she worked in investment banking, financial analysis, and audit at ING, SWIFT, and PwC. She is a business engineer from Solvay Business School and a certified accountant (ACCA – IFRS stream) and financial analyst.
