Description
Ms. Anshika Agrawal joined the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) in 2015 and is presently serving as Deputy Secretary in the GST Policy Wing, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, having about ten years of experience in the Ministry in the area of indirect tax administration. In her current role, she is involved in the formulation and refinement of GST policy, with a focus on improving tax administration and compliance frameworks.
Before her current assignment, she worked extensively in GST administration and implementation in the field, gaining practical experience in compliance‑related and enforcement functions. She also spent about four years in investigation and intelligence, handling complex cases relating to indirect taxes, and one year in customs. In addition, she has experience in data analytics from her tenure in the Directorate General of Analytics and Risk Management (DGARM), where she worked on risk‑based approaches to enhance tax collections and improve compliance.
