Description
Alastair Thomas is a Senior Economist (Tax Policy) in the Fiscal Policy and Growth Department of the World Bank. He has more than 20 years’ experience advising governments and undertaking research on tax policy issues. Prior to joining the Bank, he was a Senior Economist at the OECD’s Centre for Tax Policy and Administration and started his career as a tax policy analyst for the New Zealand Inland Revenue Department. He holds a PhD in Economics from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
