Description

Emeka Nwankwo is a tax administration reform practitioner focused on strengthening domestic resource mobilisation. He currently serves as Head of Member Services at the African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF), where he provides strategic leadership for multi-country technical assistance, capacity building, and knowledge platforms that help revenue authorities modernise systems, improve compliance, and translate policy intent into measurable outcomes. He has also directly supported VAT programmes across multiple African jurisdictions and contributed to publications on VAT and tax administration. Emeka is a two-time member of the UN subcommittee on Indirect Taxes and participates in Working Party 9 of the OECD, bringing an Africa-focused, implementation-oriented lens to global VAT work. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and a TADAT Trained Assessor.
