Description
Virpi Pikkarainen serves as Programme Director at the Finnish Tax Administration, where she has led major transformation initiatives for more than 13 years. She has been managing a large reform that renewed all taxation and e-services systems and taxation operational processes, as well as the development of Finland’s national credit registry. Currently, Virpi heads the Tax Administration’s artificial intelligence development.
Virpi has also worked internationally within the OECD Forum on Tax Administration, where she contributed to launching a collaborative programme on digital transformation. In addition, she has supported several tax administrations in their digital reform efforts.
Before joining the Tax Administration, Virpi held senior positions at Oracle and Deloitte, managing technology transformation programmes for both multinational corporations and public sector organisations.
