Description
Masahiro Nishida is the Director of OECD Division, Economic Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
Mr. NISHIDA joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA) in 2005, after working at NTT COMWARE Corp. He has held various positions at MOFA, including Deputy Director of the Afghanistan Assistance Planning Division and posts related to intelligence and records management. He served as Counsellor at the Embassy of Japan in Singapore (2019–2023), followed by Counsellor at the Office for Policy Coordination and Development on National Cybersecurity, Cabinet Secretariat (2023–2025), before assuming his current position in July 2025.
Mr. NISHIDA holds degrees from Kyoto University (B.E. in Electronic Engineering, 1998; M.S. in Informatics, 2000) and an MBA from Washington University (2009).
