Description
Soichiro SAKUMA is a distinguished Japanese businessman who has served as Vice Chair of the Responsible Business Conduct Committee at Business at OECD (OECD-BIAC) since 2007. He is the former Representative Director, Executive Vice President, and Member of the Board of Nippon Steel Corporation. Mr. Sakuma has also held leadership positions in several public organizations, including Chairman of the Public Interest Commission at the Cabinet Office of the Government of Japan, and President of the Japan International Dispute Resolution Center. From 1986 to 1989, he worked in the Directorate for Science, Technology and Industry at the OECD. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Tokyo (1978).
