Biography
Dr. Jongsoog Kim is the 17th President of the Korean Women’s Development Institute (KWDI) and a leading expert in gender equality, family economics, and social policy. She earned her Ph.D. in Family Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics from Ewha Womans University, dedicating her career to advancing women’s empowerment and evidence-based gender and family policies.
She has also held key public roles, including Secretary for Gender Equality and Family Affairs at the Presidential Office and President of the Korean Women Economists Association, contributing extensively to national policies on gender equality, labor, and family.
