Biography
Cecilia Lyche is Deputy Director General, Legal and International Affairs at the Norwegian Ministry of Culture and Equality since September 2019. Her responsibilities include the overall coordination of the Ministry’s international affairs, multilateral cooperation on issues relating to cultural policy, equality and non-discrimination, the national legislation on equality and non-discrimination and the follow-up of the Equality and Non-discrimination Ombud and the Norwegian Anti-discrimination Tribunal, the national follow-up and implementation of UN-conventions CEDAW, CERD, CRPD.
Cecilia’s previous experience includes more than ten years at the Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training where she headed departments such as Vocational Education and Training, Pedagogical Support and Curriculum Implementation.
She holds a master’s degree of Contemporary Political Sociology, from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
She currently holds the position of Chair of the OECD Working Party on Gender Mainstreaming and Governance.
