Biography

Sasha Havlicek is an expert and policy entrepreneur who, for the last two decades, has incubated and scaled global initiatives to counter weaponised hate, extremism in all its ideological forms, and authoritarian state information operations. As founding CEO and President of the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD), a leading global think and do tank, working at the intersection of national security, public safety, democratic resilience and technology, she leads ISD's advanced digital threat detection and mitigation efforts, and spearheads ISD’s extensive partnerships, advisory work and programming with governments, cities, businesses and communities around the world. Sasha advises a range of governments and international institutions at the highest levels, has testified before US Congress and the UK Parliament, and is a regular commentator in the media (CNN, BBC, Channel 4 News and other networks). She is a member of the European Council on Foreign Relations and serves on the Advisory Boards of the Global Internet Forum on Counter-Terrorism, the Christchurch Call and the Global Partnership for Action against Tech Facilitated Gender Based Violence. She is a MenCare Changemaker and a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Coalition on Internet Safety.
