Biography
Hon. Neema Lugangira is Chair of the African Parliamentary Network on Internet Governance (APNIG), Advisor for Africa of Women Political Leaders (WPL), and former Member of Parliament of Tanzania. She serves as Co-Rapporteur of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) resolution on AI’s impact on democracy, human rights, and the rule of law, and is a leading voice on AI and gender, contributing to global standards including UNESCO and African electoral guidelines, while advancing inclusive governance, AI safety, and the responsible use of AI for sustainable development.
