Biography

Faith Goodman is a visionary Macro-Systems Architect and a global expert on Corporate Purpose: deploying "ecosystems within ecosystems thinking" to illuminate solutions for the world’s most profound structural challenges. As the creator of the proprietary VeriStell Way, Faith is pioneering a fundamentally new economic architecture—one that shatters institutional silos to seamlessly connect eco-systems via AI. The model aims to redefine the contract between Business & Society to more ably drive Societal and Shareholder value. With over 40 years of bridging public and private sectors, Faith is an operational trailblazer who envisions engineering systems change at unprecedented scale. As CEO of the Goodman Sustainability Group and Founder of the VeriStell Institute—a global think-tank, she convenes Forums and Pilot Projects urging ‘linked economy-wide sustainability action. Faith’s unparalleled capacity to architect these never-before-tried solutions is rooted in her hardcore operational reality. Drawing on decades of deep Energy Sector executive experience—including at Suncor Energy—she possesses a formidable understanding of complex infrastructure and the Energy Transition. Having led intricate Refining Sector OECD climate benchmarking and large-scale renewable projects, she knows precisely how to link macro-policy mandates to enterprise execution. This unique lens led to her firm to be selected as the preferred supplier for the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s SME Institute on SME sustainability solutions. Her expertise in promoting the rewiring of structural barriers is recognized by global institutions. Faith contributes to the IFC-World Bank’s SME Finance Forum Americas Advisory Committee and as a Sustainability Judge, and she contributes to the International Chamber of Commerce. Faith recently testified as an expert witness on Sustainable Finance before a Canadian Parliamentary Committee. Since 2022, Faith inspires future leaders as a Sustainability MBA mentor and speaker for the University of Toronto’s Rotman LEADS program. Crucially, Faith has a proven track record of actually de-risking complex, multi-stakeholder ecosystems. Focusing on the “S” in ESG, she founded the RBC award-winning charity Until The Last Child. Navigating complex public-private partnerships with the Manitoba Government and Indigenous leaders, Faith became one of an elite cadre globally to successfully co-launch a Social Impact Bond. Armed with a BSc, BEd, and MBA from the University of Toronto, an LSE Sustainability Certificate, alongside the ICD.D and Canadian Securities Institute designations, Faith is uniquely skilled to pilot, scale and operationalize the inclusive global ecosystems of tomorrow – driven by AI and unlikely partnerships!
