Biography

Katarina Lundahl serves as State Secretary to the Minister for Gender Equality of Sweden (since 2024). Previously she served as State Secretary at the Ministry of Education (2024) and Deputy Head and Political Adviser at the Coordination Office of the Liberals, within the Swedish Prime Minister's Office (2022- 2024). Lundahl has held prominent positions within the Swedish trade union movement. She served as Chief Economist and Head of the Policy Section at Unionen (2017–2022), Earlier in Lundahl's career, she worked as Chief Economist and Policy Analyst at the Liberal Party's Parliamentary Office and as Political Adviser at the Coordination Office of the Liberal Party within the Prime Minister's Office. Lundahl has a background as a Macroeconomist at the European Commission, Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs, in Brussels, and as a Country Risk Analyst at the Swedish Export Credits Guarantee Board. Lundahl holds a Master of Science in Business and Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics.
