Biography

Madhuparna is an EDA and VLSI expert with over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry across the UK, India, and Sweden. She began her career in telecom at C-DOT, working on PCB and FPGA design, before transitioning to Electronic Design Automation at Cadence Design Systems. As AE Director at Cadence, she leads regional digital and signoff technical campaigns, supporting advanced CPU, GPU, and system IP designs from 16nm to 2nm. Her expertise spans the full stack from silicon to package and board, enabling innovation and strong customer outcomes. A committed advocate for STEM and inclusion, Madhuparna is a Global Ambassador for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and founder of SWE Cambridgeshire, the first UK global affiliate. She serves on the SWE European Corporate Council and was elected to the SWE Senate (FY26–28). She also serves as a trustee on the board of UK Electronics Skills Foundation (UKESF). Recognized as Electronics Weekly Mentor of the Year 2024, she continues to mentor emerging talent along with helping with the skills gap in the semiconductors sector through industry-academia collaboration. She was also part of the 2025 UK–India semiconductor delegation.
