Description
Brett Youngman is a director of data and analytics in the Australian Taxation Office’s Intelligence Assessment Centre.
During his 15-year public service career, he has worked in a variety of intelligence roles in Customs, Immigration, Home Affairs and Australia’s Financial Intelligence Unit, AUSTRAC. These roles included cooperation with domestic and international partners, lawful information sharing and intelligence diplomacy.
He has worked for the Australian government overseas in Nauru, Papua New Guinea and China, where he was AUSTRAC’s senior liaison officer between 2022 and 2025.
He holds a Diploma in Modern Language, a Bachelor of Languages, a Bachelor of Cyber Security and a Master of International Studies. He is a trained Financial Action Taskforce (FATF) mutual evaluation assessor.
