Policy Analyst, Finance for Climate Action Team

Description

Chiara Falduto is a Policy Analyst in the Environment Directorate of the OECD, working in the Finance, Investment, and Global Relations Division. She leads work on financing climate action in developing countries, with a recent focus on mobilising and aligning public and private finance to support the implementation of NDCs and advancing discussions on international climate finance goals under the UNFCCC, including the USD 100 billion goal and the new collective quantified goal (NCQG) on climate finance. Her work also examines systemic challenges to scaling up climate finance, including issues related to policy and regulatory environments and investment frameworks. Previously at the OECD, Chiara served as Special Advisor to the Director and Deputy Director of the Environment Directorate, providing strategic guidance on the Directorate’s climate change and finance portfolio, and as a Junior Policy Analyst in the Climate Change Expert Group (CCXG), where she contributed to analytical work on international climate change negotiations under the UNFCCC. Chiara holds a Master’s degree in International Development from SciencesPo Paris, and a Bachelor’s degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from LUISS University in Rome.
