Description
Louise Sieg is a geographer, data scientist, and Earth observation specialist at the OECD Environment Directorate. Her work focuses on applying state-of-the-art geographic information system (GIS) techniques to environmental and policy challenges, through interdisciplinary projects ranging from analysing carbon stocks in forests to global air quality monitoring and the use of complex climate-related hazard data to inform key policy questions. Before joining the OECD, she obtained her PhD in Geography from University College London (UCL), where she researched mobile phone data regionalisation and big data ethics in GIS.
