Description

Maisa Rojas Corradi is a physicist and holds a doctorate degree in atmospheric physics from the University of Oxford, United Kingdom. Until March 2022 she was a full professor in the Department of Geophysics at the Universidad de Chile and director of the Centre of Climate and Resilience Research (CR)2. Her research areas are paleoclimate and regional climate change, and she has also worked on impact assessment in different sectors such as agriculture and water resources, using numerical climate models as analysis tools. Maisa Rojas was coordinator of the Scientific Advisory Council on Climate Change, member of the COP25 Presidential Advisory Council, and part of the Chilean delegation to COP25 and COP26. She was a Lead Author of the Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Coordinating Lead Author of IPCC’s 6th Assessment Report (AR6).
