Description

Jorge Patiño is a Geologic Engineer with an M.Sc. in Earth Sciences and a Ph.D. in GIS and Remote Sensing. At the OECD’s Sahel and West Africa Club, he works at the intersection of urbanisation, climate and environment, focusing on urban form and green space distribution in African cities, and leveraging geospatial data and tools for policy recommendations and capacity building in the African context. His publications cover the analysis of city shapes and the provision of urban green space across the African continent, the use of remote sensing imagery for urban analysis, and the links between the built environment, health and urban green space disparities.
