Description
Stephan Raes is Head of the Structural and Industry Policy Division at the Science, Technology and Innovation Directorate of the OECD, responsible for steel and shipbuilding. He previously worked as Director for Strategy, Research and International Affairs at the Netherlands’ Ministry of Economic Affairs, as Minister Economic at the Royal Netherlands’ Embassy in Washington DC, and as Head of the Economic Affairs Department at the Netherlands Permanent Representation to the Council of the EU in Brussels. He has a Master’s degree in European Studies and a Ph.D. in Immigrant Entrepreneurship in the Textile Industry in the context of changing Global Value Chains (University of Amsterdam).
