Description
Marco Paviotti is a mechanical engineer who has been involved in environmental transport and policy making and research since 2000. He worked both in the private and public sector in The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Greece and now in Belgium, where since 2012 he works for the European Commission. By the Directorate General for the Mobility and Transport he is policy coordinator in charge of the Sustainable Transport Investment Plan, the Book and Claim initiative, the European Regulation Fuel EU Maritime, and follows as well the Renewable and Low-Carbon Fuels Industrial Alliance overseeing the activities related to maritime transport. In the past, he worked in the Environment Directorate General, looking after road, railway and aviation emissions.
