Description
Chibulu Luo (Lulu) is the thematic lead on energy and industry decarbonization with the Climate Strategies and Policy Team at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). She brings over 10 years of programmatic and analytical experience in the energy sector, supporting governments at both global and country levels on sustainable energy and climate action.
Lulu has additional expertise in energy modelling, particularly in developing long-term greenhouse gas emissions pathways and decarbonization scenarios for developing countries.
Prior to joining UNDP, she held roles at the Climate Investment Funds (CIF) housed within the World Bank Group, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and the Global Environment Facility (GEF). She holds a Master of Engineering Management from Duke University, a Master of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Warwick, and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto.
