Description
Michel Lioussis works at the Science, Technology and Innovation Directorate of the OECD, in the unit specializing in globalization and industry dynamics. His work focuses on the development and analysis of Greenhouse Gas footprint indicators and the Trade in Employment database, both based on the Inter-Country Input-Output (ICIO) database. Before joining this team, he worked at the OECD’s Trade and Agriculture Directorate on topics related to services trade. Michel holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Barcelona School of Economics, where his thesis examined the economic and social effects of services in the globalized economy using input–output models. During his time in Barcelona, he was also part of two environmental research projects on greenhouse gas emissions and climate change policies and on agroecological history.
