Description

Marie Trémolières is Head of the Security, Environment and Territories Division at the Sahel and West Africa Club (OECD/SWAC). With a PhD in Political Science, she brings over two decades of experience in regional development, urban resilience, and cross-border cooperation in West Africa. Her work focuses on using data and spatial analysis to inform policy on security and urban climate resilience. She has coordinated several flagship SWAC publications that explore the intersection of urbanisation, climate resilience, and conflict dynamics in the region. These include Boosting African Cities’ Resilience to Climate Change, Urbanisation and Conflicts in North and West Africa, Borders and Conflicts in North and West Africa, and Roads and Conflicts in North and West Africa. Marie’s expertise lies in translating complex territorial challenges into actionable strategies, and she regularly contributes to high-level dialogues on sustainable urban futures and regional cooperation.
