Description
Elizabeth Lane is a Superintending Veterinary Inspector with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine in Ireland. She is based in Ruminant Animal Health division with a remit for herd health and production disease. The main focus of her work is BVDFree, the national disease control programme aimed to eradicate BVD in Ireland. She qualified as a veterinarian from University College Dublin. Previous appointments include academic positions in UCD, Dublin and the Royal Veterinary College, London. Her research areas include fertility and reproductive management of farm animals and equines, herd health, epidemiology and disease surveillance.
