Description
Seb Hirsz is bp’s Fuels & EV Strategy Advisor, developing strategies and policy positions for its customer-facing businesses including fuels retail, aviation fuel, and EV charging. He applies his unique combination of technical, commercial, and policy expertise to help bp meet its evolving customer and low carbon mobility demands while optimising value across the group.
Seb is recognised for his deep understanding of the transport energy system combined with strategic insight, representing bp on the ITF’s Corporate Partnership Board, co-chairing IPIECA’s Biofuels Task Force, and frequent industry group engagements.
Seb previously led energy transition policy on behalf of the UK downstream sector, working closely with the UK government on renewable fuels regulation, the SAF mandate, the low carbon hydrogen business model, and the deployment of E10 gasoline. Prior to this, Seb led programmes across biofuels, retail fuels, industrial and marine lubricants, and Formula 1, including the delivery of market-leading fuel performance.
