Description
Gunnar Stiesch serves as the Chief Technology Officer and an Executive Board member at MAN Energy Solutions SE, a significant global contributor in advancing energy-efficient propulsion and power generation technologies in marine, rail, and stationary applications.
He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Leibniz University Hannover, focusing on the modelling and simulation of combustion engines. His professional career includes a tenure at MTU Friedrichshafen (2003-2007) in engine design and testing, and leading roles at MAN Diesel & Turbo, now MAN Energy Solutions (2008-2016). From 2017 to 2022, he served as the Senior Vice President and Head of Engineering Engines at MAN Energy Solutions, both in Augsburg and Copenhagen.
In addition to his professional achievements, Gunnar Stiesch has maintained a strong connection with academia. Since 2005, he has held an external professorship at Leibniz University Hannover. He is also a member of the Board of FVV e.V. since 2018 and joined the Board of CIMAC in 2023.
