Barbara Trachte is Brussels Secretary of State for the Economic Transition and Scientific Research.
She is the very first ecologist in the country to be in charge of the Economy portfolio. Her policy is resolutely focused on the economic transition, with a view to aligning economic instruments with climate objectives. It is in this context and in order to accompany this transition that Barbara Trachte is mobilising Kate Raworth's Donut Theory in the Brussels-Capital Region. In practice, she, for example, redirects the economic tools at the benefit of companies that are exemplary at social and environmental levels, such as social economy actors, who are pioneers of the economic transition.
