Senior Research Scientist Artificial Intelligence
Anika Schumann is an internationally recognized expert for Artificial Intelligence Diagnosis. At the IBM Research lab in Zurich, she leads IBM’s internal and external Artificial Intelligence Research partnerships in Europe. Her current research interests are in the area of Foundation Models, i.e., in building more general AI models that will enable a more efficient computation of AI systems that can be used for various tasks. Prior to moving to Zurich Anika worked as a Research Strategist at IBM’s TJ Watson Research Center, New York, USA where she evaluated, recommended, and shaped topics and recommendations that define IBM’s strategic directions. Initially she joined IBM as a Researcher in Dublin, Ireland where she led the Cognitive Buildings research work. Her PhD she received from the Australian National University.
