Université Côte d'Azur
Professor of Economics
Lionel Nesta is full Professor of economics at Université Côte d'Azur. His research focuses on industrial dynamics, including the drivers and effect of innovation on firm survival and growth and on product and labour market imperfections. His recent empirical analyses focus on artificial intelligence, the green transition, and how these changes challenge firms in the endeavour to increase and maintain their competitiveness in a global economy. Most of his research uses fine-grained firm-level datasets in France, revealing firm heterogeneity and the granularity of the French productive system.
